Lists

One post per month, haha. That is not exactly how we thought this blog would look like after a few months. But isn't that the case with most blogs? You just won't know, because those blogs never get popular, with good reason.

It's like that with more things. I wonder how many people actually would want to write a book. I think that maybe 75% of those people don't. And from the 25% that will actually write a book, a small percentage becomes really popular. No, it's not easy to stand out with so many people around!
But you also just write for yourself, even though that book will never be there. Or maybe not even write. You can just make up book titles. That's actually fun to do! I should make a list of them.

Lists. What would we be without? A list of made-up booktitles, a list of books to read, a list of books I read, a list of names I like (with sublistst, for boys, girls, friends, partners, female dogs, male dogs, female cats, male cats, chat nicknames, book-characters, etc.), a list of words (words I like, words I dislike, funny words, beautiful words, English words, Dutch words, anything to add?), a list of things I have to do in the long run, a list of things I have to do tomorrow (this one changes most), a list of things I want to do, a list of things I want to have, a list of things I want to buy for others, a list of music I want to hear, a list of films I want to see, et-ce-te-ra...
It might be clear that I would be lost without lists. Still you might wonder, at least I do, why keep track of all these things? I did want to try to answer that questio at first, but why would I. I find pleasure in these things, and my head is probably clearer with all those lists than without.

PS: Ideas for a new list? If so, let me know, I'll add it to my good list-ideas! ;)

Favorite Feelings II

Yes, I have collected more of my favorited feelings.
  • The feeling you get when helping people with technology they don't get and learning them the how-to's.
  • The feeling you get when you go out barefoot and feel the fresh grass under you and the sunrays on your skin. Especially after a cold rainy day or when it's the first time of the year.
  • The feeling that's caused by magic times! Now, what are magic times? Just times like 12:34 or 1:11 or 23:23 or even 12:21. Just numbers with a little magic to it. The other half of this digital duo makes it a little more difficult. He's going for more complicated times, coming from mathematical stuff, but either way it's got magic.
  • Feeling goofy and confident at the same time! Wearing something silly or just act a little goofy in public and you do this with confidence. People probably have fun watching you and you have fun doing so. And for those who don't find it funny and just think you're being stupid and craving for attention? They probably won't dare telling you so for that's too outside the box.
So, that's if for now. Have a couple of favorite feelings yourself? Write them down for yourself (or in a comment of course), 'cause it's fun!

Ciao!

(PS: Ciao, nice word, I have a thing for words).

Favorite Feelings I

Favorite Feelings. Don't we have 'm all? It's just that we are only aware of them at the moment itself, or we just don't document them and forget them when time passes. Or we don't know what these feelings are because we haven't had them yet. For me they're usually very simple. And I discover more Favorite Feelings when I go along so that's why I placed the 'I' behind the title post because I expect to have more favorite feelings I might want to share :)

  • The feel of a heavy ball (like a juggling ball, but a little heavier, but exactly that size), or a heavy egg, or a round stone in the center of your hand. The pressure of an object exactly the right size pressing its cold on your warm hands.. heavenly.
  • The feeling when you're with friends, either happy and smiling and laughing, or just be silent or barely talking and just sitting there or watch the lightning at a dark rainy day.. It doesn't matter really, it's about the feeling you're really having a moment and actually being aware that this is one of those moments you'll remember and cherish.
  • The feeling that's caused by being overwhelmed by nature. By its beauty, or by its power or its cruelness. Nature is magic.
  • The feeling when exactly the right song is played at exactly the right time which causes you to be able to lose yourself into the song. Or be able to surrender yourself to it, or in some way become one with the song.. I don't know how to put it the right way, but if you recognize it, you might know what I mean. Feel free to leave a right description if you have one.
The post ends here, because I don't want it to become a drag to read one single post. Piece by piece.
(Reminds me of the song Piece by Piece by Katie Melua. Haven't heard it in ages, funny how that works).

PS: Thunderbolts and Lightning, very very frightning me! As been sung in the famous song of Queen. But when I look outside just now: it's beautiful! Nature is amazing, I told you! If it wasn't so cold I'd go out splashing in the rain and the dark to have a mug of coco afterwards. I'm going to sit and watch for a bit.

Yours sincerely,

Ms. Q.M. - 2nd half of the digital duo

Things that give you an awkward unhappy feeling

  • When you wake an hour and a half before the alarm clock goes off and you just know you can't sleep any more while being really tired.
  • When you wake up completely at peace still believing what you dreamt was true, and then realizing it's not true and whatever you long for isn't there.
  • Having an unpleasant conversation with someone you like.
  • Eating venison while watching Bambi.
  • When you want to pay and your creditcard fails to work and you have to apologize and leave the store without anything.
  • When you ate mayonaise and fries and you feel like you're got fatter right the second you finished it and you regret haven eaten it alltogether.
  • Hitting someone with a water balloon who wasn't your target and who's really angry with you for doing so.
  • Knowing you are the one who the pink flying elephant is for and knowing you don't love the person back.
  • Drinking orange juice after you just brushed your teeth so the orange juice tastes horrible.
  • When your intentionally funny joke turns out not to be so funny and nobody laughs.
  • When you never fell intensely in love with humans or bricks in a wall and you don't have any pot to smoke.
Written by the part of the DigitalDuo that didn't wrote the post on the awkward happy feelings.

Things that give you an awkward happy feeling:

  • When the alarm clock turns on and you realise you've got a day off.
  • When you wake up horrified and realise that the tall creature in your room is actually your jacket hanging from the coat rack.
  • Having a pleasant conversation with someone you don't like.
  • Eating venison while watching Bambi.
  • Giving your credit card number to a woman who's not a hooker.
  • Mayonnaise on your hamburger while you specifically ordered one without because you're getting too fat!
  • Having an orgasm for the first time.
  • Hitting someone with a water balloon while they're looking right at your face.
  • Being able to draw a pink flying elephant for someone you love:
  • Tasting milk when drinking from what you thought it was an orange juice carton.
  • When your remark turns into an unintentionally funny joke.
  • When you smoked pot and intensly fell in love with a brick in the wall which is just too high too reach.

First Blog Of My Loif!

Well, the trouble with our society is that we tend to do somethings, which seemed utterly unimportant to us at first, before things that would actually be of any importance. For instance, I'd rather be rich or walk on the moon first than writing a web-log for the first time in my, so far fruiless, life. Well, exciting! Isn't it?! Now, I wonder who'd be the first unfortunate soul to read this horrible first blog...
